A working meeting was held in Moscow between Ahmed Azimov, Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, Alexander Belov, Head of the Council's Energy Commission, and Ziyaudin Isaev, President of the Russian Oil and Gas Contractors Union.
The parties discussed prospects for working in the Algerian market, including the participation of Russian companies in joint energy and infrastructure projects. Particular attention was paid to promoting Russian technologies and strengthening the position of domestic businesses in Algeria.
Ziyaudin Isaev shared his experience of working abroad, including in Algeria, as well as successful projects implemented by Union members in international markets. He emphasized the high potential for Russian participation in the development of Algeria's energy sector.
A key outcome of the meeting was the Russian Oil and Gas Contractors Union joining the Russian-Algerian Business Council. The parties expressed confidence that this would create new opportunities for Russian companies in the Algerian market and strengthen bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
