The director of the Department of Transport in the Administration of the Vilayet of Beni Abbes announced plans to build an international airport in the region, adding that a pre-project study for the said project will be announced in the future.
There are currently 13 international airports in Algeria: Algiers, Oran, Constantine, Annaba, Setif, Djijel, Tlemcen, Batna, Biskra, Bejaia, Schlef, Gemar (El Oued) and Hassi Messaoud.
