On January 8, 2025, a working meeting took place at the headquarters of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry between its head, Kamal Hamani, and the Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council (RABC), Ahmed Azimov.
Representatives from the Wilaya Chambers of Médéa and Oum El Bouaghi, the Secretary General of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce, Khaled Dahan, and the Chairman of the RABC Commission on Economic Cooperation, Shamil Murtazaliev, also participated in the discussions.
The meeting emphasized the importance of the Business Council as a key platform for developing business contacts and implementing joint projects. The leadership of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced its intention to update the composition of the Algerian side of the council, including the appointment of a new chairman, which will enhance coordination and improve the effectiveness of its work.
The parties discussed key areas of cooperation and outlined steps for expanding business interaction, including organizing events aimed at strengthening economic ties between Russia and Algeria, as well as creating favorable conditions for the implementation of new partnership initiatives.
