The Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council participated in the 12th session of the Russian-Algerian Intergovernmental Joint Commission

The 12th session of the Russian-Algerian Intergovernmental Joint Commission was held in Algeria under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Patrushev, and Algeria's Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Fisheries, Youssef Cherfa. The Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, Ahmed Azimov, also participated in the session.

During the meeting, representatives of the two countries discussed cooperation in agriculture, energy, education, industry, and other sectors.

Dmitry Patrushev stated: "Our countries hold leading positions in oil and gas production and have significant reserves of solid minerals. Naturally, we have the potential to expand cooperation in other areas. By combining our competencies and resources, we can produce goods of exceptionally high quality."

As a result of the session, several documents in education, science, and economics were signed, including an Intergovernmental Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Education, Qualifications, Certificates, Diplomas, and Academic Degrees, as well as an Interagency Memorandum of Understanding in the fields of higher education and science.
