On January 5, 2025, a working meeting was held at the headquarters of the Algerian Economic Renaissance Council (CREA) in Algiers between the Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, Ahmed Azimov, and the President of CREA, Kamal Mulla. The discussion was also attended by the CEO of CREA, Ali Ummellal, and the head of the RABC Commission for Trade Cooperation with Algeria, Shamil Murtazaliev.
CREA is Algeria’s leading business association, bringing together state-owned companies, the private sector, and startups. The organization plays a crucial role in modernizing the economy, stimulating industrial growth, and promoting innovation, while also acting as a link between national and international businesses.
During the meeting, the participants discussed potential areas for Russian-Algerian cooperation, including the energy sector, agriculture, transport, high technologies, and the expansion of trade relations. The attendees highlighted the significant potential for bilateral collaboration and stressed the need to intensify efforts to implement the planned projects.
"Algeria and Russia have considerable potential for developing mutually beneficial cooperation. We are ready to work closely with the Russian-Algerian Business Council to strengthen economic ties and implement promising joint projects," said Kamal Mulla.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to enhance coordination between their organizations to accelerate the implementation of Russian-Algerian initiatives.
