Meeting of the Russian-Algerian Business Council

On November 21, 2024, at 11:00 in the Small Hall of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation (6/1 Ilyinka str., building 1, room 324), a meeting of the Russian-Algerian business Council will be held in the format of a round table on the topic "Russia–Algeria: prospects for business cooperation", which will be held by Chairman of the Council Ahmed Azimov, Chairman of the Board Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Center for International Strategic Initiatives".

Algeria remains one of Russia's most stable and significant partners in Africa. This largest African and Arab country with access to the Mediterranean Sea, significant energy resources and a course towards strengthening national sovereignty opens up promising opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation in key sectors of the economy.

Despite the strategic importance of Russian-Algerian cooperation, its potential has not yet been fully realized. In the context of global challenges, it is important to reveal the current prospects for cooperation and discuss specific steps to deepen the partnership and overcome existing barriers.

Questions for discussion:

  • What unique opportunities are opening up for Russian businesses in Algeria, and what challenges are to be faced?
  • How can we accelerate the implementation of bilateral projects in strategically important sectors?
  • What barriers exist in the way of cooperation development, and how can they be effectively handled?
