An agreement has been reached in Algeria to establish GA REVERDE, a Russian-Algerian joint venture aimed at developing agriculture, restoring soil fertility and introducing modern agricultural technologies.
The Algerian partner in the project is CVA Bellat, headed by its President, Lakhdar Bellat. Founded in 1970, the company is one of Algeria’s leading private agro-industrial groups and employs more than 1,400 people.
On the Russian side, the project involves Viktor Geshele and Anton Shcherbakov. The project is being implemented with the support of the Russian-Algerian Business Council at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
The project envisages the creation of a production and research complex, including the production of organic fertilizers with mineral components, a soil research center and an agricultural cluster.
The project is of significant importance for Algeria, as it contributes to increasing crop yields, restoring soil fertility and strengthening the country’s food security. The initiative will make it possible to combine Russian technologies with Algeria’s industrial potential for the development of a modern agricultural sector.
