Russian-Algerian Business Council

Personal Data Processing Policy

Published and effective: 5 September 2026. Version: 2026-09-05-v1.

This Policy describes personal data processing on rus-alg.com and its mirror rus-alg.ru, including their Russian and English versions.

1. Controller and contacts

Controller: Азимов Хаджимурат Сахратулаевич (Khadzhimurat Sakhratulaevich Azimov), an individual.

Postal address: Apt. 79, 1 Sergeya Makeeva Street, Moscow 123100, Russian Federation.

Personal data enquiries: h-murad93@ya.ru. Council enquiries: info@rus-alg.com.

2. People and purposes

The Controller processes data of site visitors and representatives of organisations who submit a request through the form or directly by email. The purposes are to register and review the request, contact the sender and provide a response.

Data is not used for advertising, publishing information about the sender, or disclosure to partners for their own purposes. If responding requires disclosure to another person, the Controller will obtain a separate legal basis unless disclosure is required by law.

3. Data processed

Depending on how a request is sent, the data may include organisation name and website, the sender’s full name and position, email address, telephone number, information about cooperation with Algeria, areas of interest, the message, and other data voluntarily included by the sender.

A name, email address and message are required to reply. Do not send passport details, health information, other people’s personal data or information that is unnecessary for reviewing the request.

The server also processes technical data needed for connectivity and security: request date and time, requested page, IP address, browser and device information, request result and language version. This data may be recorded in web server logs.

4. Legal bases

For a request sent through the form, the legal basis is the sender’s consent.

When a sender writes directly to info@rus-alg.com, the Controller processes the information voluntarily supplied to review and answer that communication. Where the correspondence concerns steps requested before entering into a contract or performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(5) of Russian Federal Law No. 152-FZ also applies. Processing may also take place to meet the Controller’s statutory obligations.

5. Operations, recipients and processors

The Controller may collect, record, organise, accumulate, store, update, retrieve, use, restrict, delete and destroy data to the extent required for the purposes above.

A form request is stored in the WordPress database and sent to info@rus-alg.com. The Controller has access to requests and the mailbox. Requests are not automatically sent to the Council’s chair, organisations or partners.

OOO TimeWeb provides technical processing for the website, database, backups and email under its agreement with the Controller.

6. Location and international transfers

The request database, website server, email and backups are hosted by Timeweb. The Controller does not intentionally transfer request data across borders. External websites reached through ordinary links process visitor data under their own rules after the visitor follows the link.

7. Retention

  • WordPress requests and related email correspondence: up to one year after the final response or closure of the request;
  • consent evidence: three years after processing of the request ends;
  • web server logs: up to 30 days unless a specific incident requires a longer investigation;
  • automatic file and database backups: up to 30 days under Timeweb’s backup cycle.

Data may be kept longer only where law requires it or it is needed for an existing dispute. Data is deleted or destroyed after the purpose is achieved and the applicable retention period ends.

8. Security

The Controller uses HTTPS, restricts administrative access, limits the people who can access requests, applies WordPress and hosting security measures and updates, maintains backups, and checks the form’s operation. Passwords and other secrets are not placed in public code.

9. Individual rights

A person may request information about processing, correction, restriction or deletion of their data, and may withdraw consent. Send a request to h-murad93@ya.ru or to the Controller’s postal address, identifying the relevant request and the action sought.

Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it was received. Processing then stops and data is destroyed within the period required by law unless another lawful basis requires retention. A person may also complain to Roskomnadzor or bring a claim in court.

10. Cookies and external services

The site may use technical cookies required for language selection, WordPress operation and security. Yandex Metrica is enabled only after the visitor separately allows it. The choice can be changed through “Analytics settings” in the site footer; declining does not affect use of the site or submission of a request. External links to VK and YouTube transfer data to those websites after the visitor follows the link.

11. Changes

A new version will be published on this page with a new date and version number. Consent text is archived so the Controller can confirm the terms accepted by a sender. If this translation differs from the Russian text, the Russian text governs.
