The Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI) has announced that its one-stop shops have begun processing the administrative permits and approvals required to implement investment projects. The new procedure took effect on 26 July 2026.
The one-stop shops bring together AAPI staff and representatives of relevant public authorities. Their role is to support investors in one place with project registration, documentation and procedures related to starting operations.
The mechanism covers both the national one-stop shop for major projects and foreign investment and the decentralised offices responsible for regional projects across Algeria’s wilayas.
For foreign investors, the change provides more direct access to authorised government representatives and may reduce the need for separate administrative submissions. Russian companies considering projects in Algeria should confirm with AAPI which permits apply to their particular industry and location.
