A delegation from the Sultanate of Oman is visiting Algeria to advance cooperation in digital transformation. The visit follows agreements reached in May 2026 between Algeria’s Minister and High Commissioner for Digitalisation, Meriem Benmouloud, and Oman’s Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Said Al Mawali.
The Algerian side presented key projects of the High Commission for Digitalisation, including the National Digital Transformation Strategy and the Algerian Government Digital Services Centre. The Omani delegation is showcasing the capabilities of national companies and innovative solutions in artificial intelligence and digital public services.
The programme includes technical seminars, working meetings and visits to specialised institutions. The two sides aim to expand the exchange of expertise and identify practical areas for bilateral cooperation.
The engagement with Oman reflects Algeria’s efforts to diversify digital service providers and study international practices. For Russian technology companies, it is also a signal of demand for e-government, data management, cybersecurity, systems integration and artificial intelligence solutions.
