On 21 October 2026, Ahmed Azimov, Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, spoke to African Initiative about joint production projects.
He said at least three enterprises based on Russian technology and joint investment would be announced in the coming months. The Council is discussing around ten projects, including pharmaceuticals, electrical equipment and agricultural biotechnology.
Azimov noted that some production facilities were at the launch stage and called for a shift from exports to industrial cooperation.
