On May 15, 2026, in Kazan, Ahmed Azimov, Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, took part in a meeting of the Russia — Islamic World Strategic Vision Group at the invitation of Rustam Minnikhanov, Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan and Chairman of the Group.

The meeting was held as part of the International Economic Forum “Russia — Islamic World: KazanForum 2026”.

The participants discussed the development of Russia’s cooperation with the countries of the Islamic world, the strengthening of international dialogue, as well as the expansion of trade, economic, humanitarian and public-business cooperation.

The participation of the Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council in the meeting formed part of the Council’s work to develop contacts with partners from the Islamic world and promote the Russian-Algerian business agenda on international platforms.
