On April 29, 2026, a meeting was held in Algiers between the Algerian Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion Kamel Rezig and the Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation for International Cooperation in Transport Igor Levitin, who is on a working visit to the country.

During the talks, the parties reviewed the current state and prospects of trade and economic cooperation between Algeria and Russia, emphasizing the importance of further strengthening the bilateral partnership.

Particular attention was given to the development of cooperation in transport and logistics services, including in the context of supporting export operations and creating new opportunities for economic operators of both countries.
