On April 21, 2026, a delegation of Algerian partners—including Abdelhamid Cherfaoui, Nadia Ougergouz, and Yacine Khelis—visited the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology.

The visit was also attended by members of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, including Anton Shcherbakov, Yan Sukhanov, and Tatiana Morozova.

The institute’s leadership organized a tour of its production facilities and laboratories. The delegation was introduced to molecular diagnostics technologies developed and manufactured by the institute and held business discussions with its management.

Following the visit, the parties agreed to advance joint cooperation. The Algerian delegation highly praised the level of Russian developments. Abdelhamid Cherfaoui noted that commercial and scientific partnership with the institute would elevate molecular diagnostics in Algeria to a new level.

The visit followed the round table “Russia–Algeria: Pharmaceuticals and Medical Technologies”, held on April 20 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and marked another practical step toward implementing joint projects in the field of molecular diagnostics.
