On 11–12 November 2025, the Russia–Algeria Business Forum was held in Algiers, marking the start of a multi-sector business mission of Russian companies. The event was organized by the Russian Export Center (REC) with the support of the Russian-Algerian Business Council (RABC) and the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in Algeria.
The forum brought together representatives of Russian and Algerian businesses, government bodies, and industry associations. The program included B2B meetings and thematic round tables dedicated to strengthening partnerships and expanding the presence of Russian companies in the Algerian market.
The business mission featured Russian companies producing IT solutions, medical equipment, fertilizers, agricultural products, as well as representatives of the construction and oil & gas industries.
On the Algerian side, more than 250 companies took part, including Sonatrach, Sonelgaz, Algérie Télécom, Cosider, Cital, as well as leading business associations CREA, CAP, and CGEA.
Speakers at the forum’s plenary session included:

• R. Fasikh, Director of the Department for the Development of Economic Relations, MFA of Algeria;
• A. Kocheshkov, Senior Adviser of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Algeria;
• A. Shatilov, Trade Representative of Russia in Algeria;
• M. Bougaddoura, Chairman of the Algerian-Russian Business Council;
• Israfill Ali-Zade, Head of Middle East & Africa Division, REC.
The discussion was moderated by A. Azimov, Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council.
The business mission, organized by the Russian Export Center, clearly demonstrated Algeria’s strong interest in expanding cooperation with Russia. The forum resulted in new corporate contacts, identification of promising areas for joint projects, and discussions on ways to increase mutual trade and investment.
The event attracted wide attention from Algerian media, underscoring the importance of bilateral economic partnership and the growing interest in Russian business in Algeria.
