The Chairman of the Russia–Algeria Business Council under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation took part in a meeting between the Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, Grand Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Russian Federation, Toufik Djouama.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Chairmen of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia, Mufti Rushan Abbyasov and Ildar Galeev, as well as representatives of the Algerian Embassy.
The parties noted the high level of Russia–Algeria cooperation and emphasized the need to further strengthen humanitarian, cultural, and business ties. It was highlighted that the development of spiritual and religious dialogue creates favorable conditions for expanding economic cooperation and enhancing direct business contacts.
In this context, the parties underscored the role of the Russia–Algeria Business Council in promoting trade and economic interaction and fostering direct links between the business communities of Russia and Algeria.
The sides also emphasized the stable and historically established cooperation between the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Russia and key Algerian institutions, including the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments and the High Islamic Council of Algeria (under the Presidency of Algeria).
Particular attention was given to preparations for the Days of Algeria in Moscow, scheduled for the summer. The program includes an exhibition of Algerian products, as well as business and cultural events. The importance of jointly organizing certain events with the participation of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation was highlighted, as this will add an additional humanitarian dimension to the program.
