The Union “Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan” (CCI RT) and the Russia–Algeria Business Council (RABC) have signed a cooperation agreement. The ceremony took place in Kazan on the sidelines of the Russia – Islamic World Forum.

The document provides for the development of business relations between the Republic of Tatarstan and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, support for export-oriented companies, and the implementation of joint projects involving businesses from both countries.

According to the agreement, the parties intend to facilitate direct contacts between entrepreneurs, organize joint activities (business missions, conferences, industry exhibitions), exchange business and regulatory information, and provide support for projects in the field of industrial cooperation and localization.

Particular attention will be given to sectors with strong export potential — including mechanical engineering, petrochemicals, agro-industry, education, and innovative technologies.

The signing of the agreement continues the cooperation initiated during the business mission to Algeria on 21–24 April 2025, organized by the RABC. During the mission, the CCI Tatarstan delegation held a series of meetings with representatives of Algerian businesses and development institutions.

The RABC expects the agreement to stimulate the expansion of Tatarstan companies into the North African market and serve as a systemic support tool for regional foreign economic activities.
