As part of its business mission to Algeria, a delegation of the Russian-Algerian Business Council at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation held a meeting with the leadership of the industrial holding SNS, headed by its President and CEO, Mr. Slimane Arar.

During the talks, the parties discussed prospects for developing Russian-Algerian cooperation in the industrial sector, including opportunities for Russian companies to participate in projects aimed at modernizing and developing the El Hadjar metallurgical complex, one of Algeria’s key industrial enterprises.

Particular attention was paid to applying Russian expertise in industrial cooperation, engineering solutions and the training of technical specialists. It was noted that industrial cooperation between Russia and Algeria has a solid historical foundation: Soviet specialists took part in the creation and development of a number of major industrial facilities in Algeria, including the El Hadjar metallurgical complex.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing the dialogue, working through practical areas of cooperation, and developing long-term partnerships between Russian and Algerian industrial companies.
