On April 28, 2026, a meeting was held in Algeria between Said Sayoud, Minister of Interior, Local Authorities and Transport of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, and Igor Levitin, Adviser and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cooperation in the Field of Transport, who headed a high-level Russian delegation.

The meeting took place in the context of developing Russian-Algerian cooperation in the transport sector and reflects the growing attention of both sides to transport connectivity, logistics and practical cooperation between Russia and Algeria.

The Russian-Algerian Business Council considers the development of transport and logistics cooperation as one of the key elements in expanding bilateral economic relations.
