International Cooperation in Pediatric Neurorehabilitation

A working meeting was held at the Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Psychoneurology with the participation of Ahmed Azimov, Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, Rasul Botashev, Chairman of the Russian-Bahraini Business Council, and Tatyana Batysheva, Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation, Director of the Center and Chief Pediatric Neurologist of Moscow, along with specialists of the institution.

The central topic of the discussion was the development of comprehensive support systems for children with neurodevelopmental disorders through international cooperation and professional knowledge exchange. The participants addressed modern approaches to medical rehabilitation and long-term support for children with diseases of the nervous system, where an interdisciplinary approach is essential.

As noted during the meeting, countries of the Middle East and North Africa demonstrate sustained interest in Russian expertise in the field of pediatric neurorehabilitation. Of particular relevance for these states are issues related to the formation of national systems of care for children with neurodevelopmental disorders, as well as the training of specialized medical and rehabilitation professionals.

Special attention was given to the humanitarian dimension of the Center’s activities. The participants highly praised the experience of the Scientific and Practical Center in providing medical and rehabilitation assistance to children from Syria, including patients with severe consequences of injuries and central nervous system damage. According to the parties, this experience confirms the Center’s high level of professional expertise and its ability to address complex multidisciplinary medical challenges.

The potential of the Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Psychoneurology was recognized as a significant resource for the development of international professional cooperation. Russian experience is viewed as a well-tested model that can be applied within joint international projects.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to continue dialogue and to further develop specific areas of cooperation in the field of pediatric medical rehabilitation and psychoneurology.
