On March 26, 2026, the eighth “Russian Business Guide. People of the Year” award ceremony took place at the Congress Center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council under the CCI of Russia, Ahmed Azimov, presented the “Person of the Year” award in the “Russia–Algeria” nomination to Anton Shcherbakov, Managing Partner of GEXP.

Anton Shcherbakov is one of the most prominent and consistent Russian entrepreneurs in the Russia–Algeria agenda, systematically working in the Algerian direction and building practical cooperation in African markets.

The introduction of the “Russia–Algeria” nomination reflects the growing importance and перспективность of the Algerian direction for Russian business, particularly in sectors such as agro-industrial complex, digital solutions, pharmaceuticals, and industrial cooperation.

Ahmed Azimov noted that in the current environment, business diplomacy is an art, and, regrettably, those who truly master it are rare.
