On October 8, 2025, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation A.V. Gruzdev met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria to the Russian Federation Taoufik Djawam.
Akhmed Azimov, Chairman of the Russian-Algerian Business Council, participated in the meeting.
The parties noted the high level of political dialogue between Russia and Algeria, while emphasizing that economic cooperation does not yet fully reflect the potential of bilateral relations. The meeting participants expressed confidence that the consistent development of industrial cooperation and joint projects will take trade and investment interaction to a new level.
The constructive role of the Russian-Algerian Business Council as a platform for strengthening business contacts and the practical implementation of initiatives between entrepreneurs of the two countries was noted.
